Martina has been practicing midwifery since 1991.  She graduated from a full-time 3-year midwifery program at the University in Mainz (Germany) in 1994 and practiced as a homebirth midwife in Memphis until 2004, attending on average 25 homebirths a year.

Martina and her family relocated back to Germany in 2004, where she graduated from Nursing School in 2007. As a staff hospital midwife, she attended numerous births at the birthing unit of the Johannis-Krankenhaus Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany.  Martina also cared for women and babies during the postpartum period in the comfort of their own homes.

Throughout the years, she attended several workshops on Aromatherapy, Homeopathy, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Martina is the mother of two smart girls, Maya (attempted homebirth in 1997) and Lena (born at home in 1999), and wife and best friend to Peter, who has been a charismatic nurse for many years .

Martina is certified in CPR and NRP and holds a midwifery and a nursing license in Tennessee and in Germany.
She currently serves as Treasurer for the TN Midwives Association, and is a member of NARM and MANA.

Missy Padgett, Midwife Apprentice and Doula

(901) 828 8019

Missy has been attending births as a doula since 1996 when she attended an ALACE workshop in Birmingham, Alabama. She is very excited to learn midwifery skills from her long-time friend and midwife and to support natural birth choices in the midsouth.
Missy started apprenticing with Full Circle Midwifery in May 2009 and has been catching babies since February 2010.
Missy lives in Hernando, Mississippi with her husband, Clark, and four children: Jacob (born at home in 1995), Beckett (born at home in 1997), Adam (born at home in 2002), And XiXi (born in China in 2003, adopted in 2005). She enjoys reading, writing, arts and crafts, travel, and time spent with family and friends. She is working on completing a liberal arts degree in Biology, Sociology, and Psychology at the University of Mississippi and has found the study both stimulating and appropriate for midwifery work as all three of those subjects come to bear on the birth process.

Missy keeps her CPR and NRP certifications current.
She is a member of the TN Midwives Association and serves as Public Relations Liaison for the Mississippi Midwives Alliance (MMA).
