The Full Circle Experience
The midwives of Full Circle Midwifery believe that pregnancy and birth are natural processes and that all women have the right to a dignified, enriched, and satisfying birth experience. Each healthy mother deserves to birth her baby in the setting she chooses, with positive support, little intervention and guided by experienced attendants. The midwives are dedicated to providing individualized care that results in an outcome that is safe, enriched and satisfying to each family's spiritual and physical needs.
Full Circle Midwifery believes in the safety of homebirth with a skilled and attentive birth team. In 2005, the British Medical Journal published the MANA 2000 study, the first ever large-scale prospective study of the safety of homebirth in North America. This study illustrated that homebirth with a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) is as safe as a low-risk hospital birth. The cesarean section rate for planned homebirths was drastically lower than planned hospital births. Additionally, the rates of interventions were consistently half that of hospitals. Most importantly, there was no difference in illness, injury, or death for babies. The satisfaction of homebirth women vs hospital birth women was significantly higher with 97% of women reporting satisfaction with their homebirths.

The midwives at Full Circle Midwifery are primary care providers for healthy pregnant women who choose to birth in their own home, or other preferred settings. A collaborative care plan physician is available for consult when indicated.

Our midwives at Full Circle see pregnancy as a definitively healthy and joyous time! We believe that most families can experience birth as a low risk, natural event in the comfort of their own homes. Our role is to provide compassionate care, watch over the pregnancy and birth in a manner that is protective and supportive, and to assist our clients in accessing the right level of medical care when the need arises.
All the midwives in the Metro Memphis area support each other and take birth calls as needed.

Clinical Care
Our Home Clinic in Hernando, MS provides a comfortable place for prenatal and wellness visits throughout pregnancy and after birth, equipped with a private examination room, a play area for other children and a private yard to play in as well. All of the amenities of a humble abode: kitchen, living room, front porch and spacious yard, etc, make visits as enjoyable as being at home.
Full Circle also shares space with Sundara Wellness Center in Midtown Memphis, TN. Clients may choose this location as well for convenience. Sundara offers the usual clinical visits for Full Circle Clients, and also houses a number of wellness services.
Midwives are on-call 24/7 to be of service and support during labor and delivery in a location of your choice.
